Consultation has concluded

The City of White Rock is updating its Economic Development Strategic Plan with a new vision, objectives and strategies designed to create economic vitality and resilience for a post-pandemic future.

The updated Economic Development Strategic Plan will guide how jobs and businesses in White Rock change and grow. We are gathering input into the direction that the economic development strategy should take.

About the Updated Plan
The updated Economic Development Strategic Plan will be developed by and for the people who live in White Rock. The City’s Economic Development Officer and the Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC), a group composed of representatives from the community, local business and not-for-profit groups, will are providing guidance and direction to the project.

Thank You for Completing the Survey. Two surveys regarding the future of economic development in White Rock have recently been completed. Thank you to the business owners and operators and the residents who took the time to share your insights.

Survey results have been tabulated and compiled and can be viewed here. The update of the Economic Development Plan began in June with a draft update is currently being reviewed with representatives from the business and residential community.

Thank you for Participating in our Workshops. Two workshops were held in September: one for residents and one for businesses. Thank you to the representatives from the resident and business community who participated in the workshops and shared their insights. The draft Economic Development Plan is being updated and will be available to view after it is reviewed by the Economic Development Advisory Committee in November.
