You’ve Asked, We’re Listening

  1. Location
Many residents asked whether 1510 Johnston Road was already chosen. No final site has been decided. City staff are doing site assessments at multiple locations, including the current city hall block.

  2. Building Height
Some residents expressed concern about potential building height. No design has been proposed, and no site has been selected. Council and staff understand that height and scale are important considerations for the community.

  3. Cenotaph
Some were concerned about impacts to the Cenotaph—there are no plans to relocate or alter it. If relocation is ever considered, staff will work closely with Veterans Affairs, local Legions, and other groups to ensure it is done with the utmost respect and sensitivity.
